Adidas Parley at The Triathlon Shop

At The Triathlon Shop we are fully committed to limiting our impact on the environment. From the stock we choose to carry to the way we ship our goods we do our best to make the best choices.
We've all been glued to Blue Planet 2 in recent weeks and the media really caught hold of the fact that there is a huge amount of plastic dumped into the oceans every day.
A few seasons ago Adidas launched their collaboration with Parley who remove discarded plastics from the worlds oceans. Adidas are committed to phasing out the use of virgin plastics in their products. As a founding member of Parley Adidas supports them in eco-innovation, research, development and education.
Holly and Jon who founded The Triathlon Shop are degree educated sustainable designers as well ask very keen athletes and are obviously super enthusiastic about open water swimming so the progress that is being made in this area really resonates with us here.
When the chance to stock Adidas Parley products and make a move from traditional fabrics to more environmentally sensitive ones became available we went for it from day 1. As time goes on Adidas will be launching more and more products using these recycled materials. For example, 2018 Ultra Boost will feature a fully recycled prime knit upper. Aside from what we stock Adidas are making waves too, the entire range of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich football kits are made using parley yarns. This is no short term marketing move, it is a proper shift and we at The Triathlon Shop are very happy to be involved as one of the first adopters of this range.
